Joe Kavanagh signed with Hofstra University joining the Pride wrestling team. Hofstra will have three former Wantagh Warriors on the team as Steven Bonnano and Matt Loew are already there. Joe is projected as a 174 /184 pounder in his quest to become a NCAA Champion. Joe has been training very hard and just won the Massapequa Tournament under the lights while competing in three different divisions. The contingent of wrestlers that attended the Hofstra Team Camp did very well. The Warriors finished second in the camp to Brentwood. It is with much sadness that we have been informed of the passing of Bill Dailey Father of Lisa and Grandfather of James, Joseph and Blaise and Father in Law of James Kavanagh.
Mr. Dailey was a huge supporter of Wantagh Wrestling and was always present and watching our kids win. Bill had a great attitude. He will be missed.
