Game Objective: Pin the Opponent
The time sequence was standardized with the addition of a note to rule 5-20-5. This time sequence refers to the time sequence for the offensive wrestler in assuming the offensive starting position.
- The wrestler must set the knee(s) and feet.
- The wrestler must set the palm of one hand on the navel.
- The wrestler must place the palm of the other hand on or over the near elbow.
- The referee shall pause momentarily before whistling to begin the game.
How to Score Points?
Utilize the following moves during the match:
- Takedown (2 points)
- Reversal (2 points)
- Near Fall (2-3 points)
- Escape (1 point)
How to Avoid Penalties?
It’s important to avoid penalties as it can gain your opponent points at your expanse. Avoid the following acts during a game to avoid being penalized:
- Stalling
- Incorrect or False Start
- Unrequired Roughness
- Misconduct (May Result in Disqualification)
